What-s Next for the Athens United Soccer Teams?

The Athens United Soccer Association is getting ready to kick off its fall season. Special programs are already in place for skill enhancements. There are many amazing things on the horizon for the league. With the advancements in the U.S. national Soccer Teams this year soccer fever is reaching an all time high in the United States. The Athens United Soccer Association is committed to the enrichment and enhancement of the game of soccer and its players. New and upcoming events are as follows:

A Skills Clinic is set to start with Donnie Hatcher this Wednesday September 7th and will continue through the season on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The cost will be 3.00 per player.

The official season begins Saturday September 10th. In additional new developments the Athens United Soccer Association has hired a new assistant director. Bruce Groshong has been hired as the new Assistant Director of Coaching. His main focus will be on expanding the skills and team development in the girls programs. Bruce-s many achievement-s include his skills enhancement was directly responsible for bringing about championships in Michigan and Florida. He was also part of the Olympic Development Program in Florida. His primary focus is player development and his philosophies are reflective of this.

Athens United Soccer Association is also having its first ever Athens United Night at the Atlanta Silverbacks game on September 24th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. It is expected to be an exciting evening for all.

The upcoming Soccer Tournament Finale is scheduled for December 20-21st for both boys and girls soccer leagues. Players are encouraged to register for the tournament. It should be a great two days of play. A Player Medical Release Form can be obtained online at the website.
